Theatre in the corporate sector
Vital Stages uses theatre for the corporate sector in its Forum Theatre training programmes or in specially commissioned plays.
Vital Stages can provide single sessions for conferences or management training days as a way of provoking discussion, or can provide extended training programmes on a variety of issues to train large numbers of employees over a period of time.
Vital Stages creates theatre that is both powerful and thought provoking and will provide your organisation with a quality experience. As a professional theatre company we have the expertise in touring to a variety of venues throughout the country and working with large audiences. We use experienced actors and directors and have the technical back-up and know-how to produce large scale plays or small intimate dramas to suit your needs. We will guide you every step of the way in how to use theatre effectively in your organisation and make it an experience, which is entertaining, stimulating, and one that will effect change.
Why use theatre for training or to raise awareness?
Theatre is a powerful way of exploring and experiencing the human condition. It enables an audience to empathise with characters while at the same time retaining some objectivity on a character’s situation. In using theatre we are able to include a multitude of issues and viewpoints as well as include real anecdotes to illustrate points and demonstrate characters acting inappropriately or unlawfully. It enables large numbers of an organisation to experience the same event and listen to the same messages, providing a powerful resource from which to develop discussion and/or other training. Theatre can be a high impact experience and will often be remembered long after more traditional training has been forgotten.
